POD Design partnered with EDGE to develop a recreation and parks strategic master plan. Key to the process was understanding the recreational resources available to citizens through the City, Oberlin City Schools, Oberlin College and Lorain County Metro Parks and to assess what features or programs were needed to meet the recreational needs. Initial stages of the process included extensive site analysis and photographic inventory of existing features, a full-day community input session including meetings with key stakeholders, several advisory committee meetings to review initial assessments of available resources compared to industry standards and the development of draft preliminary recommendations for consideration by the city.
