Situated in the Milo-Grogran neighborhood this multifamily apartment complex presented an opportunity for POD to create a space for residents from the ground up. The clients approached POD to design the amenity area of the clubhouse, develop signage and wayfinding, prepare site landscape plans incorporating a dog park, and assist with a public art project.

The design for the clubhouse amenity area creates a quiet urban oasis complete with pool, outdoor kitchen space, and a variety of seating areas. Residents may enjoy the sunshine and pool while listening to the water feature and rustling ornamental grasses.

Working in collaboration with the project architect and a local artist, POD guided the team through the process to utilize a large angular board-formed concrete retaining wall as both art installation and sound barrier. Critical to the success of the amenity space is the use of this wall to buffer the roadway noise using green wall design while providing an art wall which will serve as a visual gateway for the community.
